First game of IPL 2020 is All set to begin from 19th September at 7:30 pm. The first game will not be an easy one as players hadn’t played any competitive cricket since 7-8 months. So to get in that flow they will definitely 2-3 games.
Now having a glance at the teams both of them have got an incredible batting lineup with depth in both the teams. But by comparing their bowling unit it is very clear that Mumbai indians have got a fierce pace attack but they lack a quality spin attack when compared to that of CSK. Chennai have likes of Tahir,Jadeja,santner and there new pick from the auction i.e. piyush chawla. Now this is where CSK can use this to there advantage.
Another aspect to this is that there are 3 venues used again and again for the league matches and practise matches so this will make the pitch weary and slow. This is where CSK might be ahead in comparison with Mumbai Indians.
Batting Comparison:-
Mumbai Indians have a got some best power- hitters of the season who not only give depth to the batting but also take responsibility of finishing the game when needed. Where as CSK have players like kedar Jadhav,MS dhoni, Dwayne bravo and Du plessis. So overall Suresh Raina’s absence will be definitely felt but not leave them craving for sure. Csk also have few youngsters like sai kishore and jagadeeshan who might get 3 or 4 games.
So It clearly shows that MI batting is definitely stronger and have more options to choose from than CSK batting.
Both teams have got strengths and weaknesses and the team which will cover its weaknesses better will be the one to start their campaign of IPL 2020 with a win.
